WEBSTRINGS

SENSORY ECOLOGY IN ACTION!
Recently a family won a negligence suit against
an automobile manufacturer because the brakes failed to work on their car
and a several members were severely injured. Like producing a car without
adequate brakes, it is irresponsible for any of us to help produce life
out of balance and thereby injure the global life community, including people.
Yet, against our better judgement, most of us are engaged in hurting each
other and the environment simply because we don't know how to stop.
If you or your organization find there is no need to improve your personal
or professional relationships and your deeper
ideals are being met, then don't bother to
read any further.
If, however, you have been trying to solve some
challenging personal, social or environmental problems, ask yourself this
one vital question: How are you letting webstrings
help you?
Do you understand the question? Are you working
with webstrings? If you answer no to either, you have located a major source
of your problems. In our society, webstrings are missing links. Their absence
produces most of our unresolveable problems and unbalance. Restoring these
links dramatically reduces personal and environmental deterioration..
"Pulitzer-Prize
winning sociobiologist Dr. Edward O. Wilson, of Harvard, affirms that people
have an inherent biological need to be in contact with nature. He says
Nature holds the key to our aesthetic, intellectual, cognitive, and even
spiritual satisfaction."

"The webstrings at this quiet pond helped
me realize that too often our society sustains itself by irritating us
and then selling us something to stop the irritation.
Society mainly irritates us by teaching us to
separate from nature. This injuriously tears apart the 53 sensory webstring
connectors that biologically and emotionally unify us with nature and each
other.
At this pond, I help webstrings in nature touch
themselves in me and regenerate our connectedness. My irritations subside.
I feel myself coming into balance with myself, others and Earth."

Is your life or profession off center from being
feelingly disconnected
from the web of life?
What have you lost?
Experts often depict nature's web of life
by gathering a group of people in a circle. Each person is asked to represent
some part of nature, a bird, soil, water, etc. A large ball of string then
demonstrates the relationships between things in nature. For example the
bird eats insects so the string is passed from the "bird person"
to the "insect person." That is their connection. The insect lives
in a flower, so the string is further unrolled across the circle to the
"flower person." Soon a web of string is formed. It interconnects
all members of the group, including somebody representing a person.
People gently lean back; they sense and enjoy how the string peacefully
unites, supports and interconnects them and all of life.
Then one strand of the web is cut signifying human impact on a species,
habitat or relationship. Sadly, the weakening effect on all is noted. Other
strings are cut; air, water, soil, temperature, people. Soon the web's integrity,
support and power disintegrates along with its spirit.
Because this activity reflects the reality of our lives, it often triggers
anxious feelings of hurt, despair and sadness in the activity participants.
Earth and its people increasingly suffer from "cut string" disintegration,
yet we continue to cut the strings.
Recently, I asked web activity participants if they ever went into a
natural area and actually saw strings interconnecting things there. They
said no, that would be crazy. I responded, "If there are no strings
there, what then are the actual strands that hold the natural community
together in balance and diversity?"
It became very, very quiet.
Too quiet.
Are you quiet, too?
Warning! Pay close attention to this
silence. It flags the missing link in our thinking, perception and relationships
that produces many troubles. The web strings are a vital part of survival,
just as real and important as the plants, animal and minerals that they
interconnect. The strings are as true as 2 + 2 = 4, facts as genuine as
us. Without seeing, sensing or respecting the strings in nature and our
inner nature, we break, injure and ignore them. Their disappearance produces
an uncomfortable psychological emptyness in our lives that we constantly
try to fill. We want emotionally and materially, and when we want there
is never enough. We become greedy, stressed and reckless to gain fulfillment,
placing ourselves, others and Earth at risk.
Today, newly researched nature reconnecting activities help us bring
webstrings back into our lives. Their presence enables us to reinstate balanced
personal and environmental relationships.
Profound disbelief registered on many faces when I suggested to the participants
that since they were part of nature, the strings were in them and they could
learn to improve their relationships through them. They disbelieved this
because our society teaches us to conquer, not respect, nature and the strings.
This drives more than 45 different strings and their value out of our consciousness
and thinking yet they are as real as any other part of the web of life.
They, too, are biologically of, by and from nature, as real as us.
We are part of nature, the strings are in us. You are probably not aware
of where the strings are, what they consist of, or how to connect with them
in yourself or the environment. If so, you are webstring illiterate, in
other words, unbalanced. Sound preposterous? Ask yourself this:
-Do you know how to think in balance with webstrings?
-You probably can name most of the appliances in your kitchen, how many
of your webstrings can you name (There are 53 total, can you identify 25?
How about 12? )
-Are we in balance if our webstring-defecient thinking has 70% of bird
populations in decline, 80% of our population suffering from stress related
disorders and deterioration occurring on planetary levels?
-Can you be in balance if you are a good citizen of an unbalanced society?
Like all of life, you, too, consist of webstring relationships. Deep
within your psyche you dimly feel them on occasion. Our great challenge
is to thoughtfully become involved in our webstring relationships. To our,
and Earth's, great loss our separation from nature disconnects us from the
parts of nature that would otherwise energize webstrings into our awareness.
Shouldn't you be involved with a fully accredited webstring reconnecting
process that restores our webstrings?
It lets you help their origins in the global life
community nurture them as only these origins can.
The process enables you to enjoy wellness, responsible relationships
and a livelihood in balance.
You may easily learn the process online from links on the following page
and add it to your personal and professional energies. It is an excellent
stress management and community development tool, a supportive missing link
that reverses personal, social and environmental deterioration. For this
reason, people treasure webstrings. They deserve your attention.

"Webstrings are as apparent as my nose. Whenever
my eyes are open my nose is in full view. However, since society neither
values, rewards, nor teaches me to consciously be aware of my nose, I seldom
see it unless I will myself to see it, or it is called to my attention.
Just reading this brings your nose to your attention, you may now see it.
Similarly, by going to where they are and paying attention to them, you
may see webstrings."
